We have been involved in legal advice related to fitness market consolidation for years. Since 2015, we have completed more than a dozen transactions, including the largest, in terms of value and number of clubs acquired.
Most recent time has also been very active for us in this area. Last week, we successfully closed the 30m acquisition of Saturn Fitness by Benefit Systems SA.
This transaction, in which we advised the shareholders of Saturn Fitness, was the culmination of a complex restructuring process that we had initiated in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and which first involved an amicable and judicial renegotiation of the lease portfolio. In parallel, there was a process of separating and concentrating the fitness business into a single entity.
As part of the transaction team, Saturn Fitness was advised by Krzysztof Łyszyk, Karolina Poloczek and Kamil Lewiński with the support of Anna Matyja-Sławińska. Litigation team was led by Wiktor Wesołowski, with the support of Roksana Góral and Dominika Zalesińska.
